Feedback
Attar 2010 was very well received. Here is just some of the feedback we got:
Thank you Brigid, Judith and Tanya for a great weekend of workshops! All of the workshops I attended were fantastically organised and presented, and I've come away from them with my head swimming with information.
Amy (Christchurch)
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop last week, and well done for putting
all that footage and info together into one workshop.
Angela (Auckland)
For me, the highlights were the combination of different ingredients: history of dance (esp. being able to link the political events with the evolution of the dance movements), technique components, and performance improvement skills.
Christine (New Plymouth)
Many thanks for putting on such a wonderful weekend. I gained so much from each workshop and lots of inspiration for my dancing. The combination of technique and theory was mixed well and gave a unique depth to the experience. It is obvious that there is a great deal of experience in the Attar Collective and I thank you all for sharing your wealth of knowledge and talent so generously.
Irene (Wellington)
I was most impressed with Kashmir’s knowledge in 'The Belly Dance Matrix' - wonderful document to have for reference given out at this lecture: comprehensive and easily referred to, well set out. I’ve written more notes in the margins from the extra information on the day! Thank you, Kashmir!
Zumarrad and Latin Feet was a lot of fun and useful moves.
The Obsessive Image and Self Assessment gave us plenty to think about and a real change from the usual range of workshops put forward.
Laurice (Auckland)
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop on the Ouled Nail. Congratulations on a well researched and well run workshop and I look forward to supporting you by attending more in the future.
Lynne (Katikati)
I really enjoyed my Saturday workshop 'Latin Feet' with Zummarad, it was very fun and informative on the five different latin dance styles covered.
I really hope you will run something like this again.
Patrice (Christchurch)
I enjoyed the workshops and especially enjoyed the dancing at Cafe Pasha. Thanks to you talented teachers who showed us what amazing dancers you are. It was very inspiring.
